Half a class 40, 1000 horse power made by English Electric, the Class 20 (otherwise known as an English Electric Type 1) usually run in pairs because of the long front. Mostly used to move coal around the Midlands, not not many left now!
They are known by railway enthusiasts as "Choppers", a name derived from the distinctive beat that the engine produces when under heavy load which resembles that of a helicopter.
